Baking soda throughout the house!
Clean a stained plastic container with a paste baking soda and lemon juice.
Renew old sponges, nylon scrubbers and scrub bristles by soaking them overnight in 4 tbs baking soda and 1 qt water.
Deodorize wooden bowls or utensils with baking soda and water.
To loosen baked or dried on food in pans, gently boil water and baking soda in the pans. When food has loosened cool and clean.
Cover burned on stains on a cookie sheet with baking soda and hot water, let it soak for 10 minutes. Scour with baking soda and a scrubber.
Apply baking soda paste to enamel cookware, let sit for an hour and clean with a non abrasive scrubber.
General purpose cleaner for delicate areas:
1 tsp borax
1 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp vinegar or lemon juice
1/4 tsp liquid dish soap
2 cups hot water
Be sure to wear rubber gloves when handling this mixture. Mix and store in a spray bottle.
Dip a damp sponge in baking soda and salt and rub teacup or coffee stains away.
To prevent clogs, pour 1/2 cup baking soda down your drain followed by hot water. you can use the old box from your fridge.
